Civic Service.
The Town Mayor holds a Civic Service during his mayoral year. Local Community Groups, individuals and dignitaries from surrounding areas are invited to take part.
This year’s service was held by Town Mayor, Cllr Richard Scott on 10th February 2008 at All Saints Church on 10th February 2008.
Marlow Town Councillors made an Affirmation to service the local community, to play their part in enhancing the lives of those who live and work here.
Reverend Nick Molony took the Service and The Reverend Nicky Skipworth, Community Missioner, from All Saints’ Church, High Wycombe made the Address.
The invited congregation included Mayors from High Wycombe and Beaconsfield, Lord Lieutenant Sir Henry and Lady Aubrey-Fletcher, Chairman of Bucks County Council, Cllr Mrs P Wilkinson, MBE, Chairman of neighbouring parishes. Representatives from Marlow based community organisations were also invited to attend.
